Hennah Night Party

On April 2nd at the Turkish Cultural Center, TWS organized a Hennah Night party in honor of one of our Turkish language students, Sarah Messerschmidt. The program started with a brief description of Turkish Hennah Night by Safiye Embel , a member of TWS and a college student at Brookling College.

Right before the presentation, delicious food was served and enjoyed by all. As a custom the henna, which was prepared by Sarah's friend Wafaa Allan, was applied to the bride's hands. Almost all the traditional steps were performed. After this ceremony, guests who were interested in Turkish dance had the opportunity to learn dancing from the members of TWS.  Every one of the attendees seemed to the enjoy the evening and the entertainment very much.

TCC congratulates Sarah Messerschmidt on her new married life!
